Ham radio not a viable option for Egypt
February 12, 2011License received
April 7, 2013I have been living in Egypt for two years. I have tried to get permission to operate in Egypt whole that time, but without success. Finally, today I have obtained a license. Believe me, it was a hard work. My new call sign is SU9ZZ and QTH is in Giza, Cairo. I have already made some wire antenna for 160 and 80 meters, but I haven?t any equipment at the moment. I will receive my Yaesu “FT-847” after few weeks. I also haven?t antenna for the higher bands.
I would like to thank everybody who helped and supported me, especially Ezzat SU1ER, Brano OM3TLW, Ivan OM3CGN and Tony OM3LU.
