The biggest features of the DR-DPM80, the second generation vehicle-mounted unit of the 351MHz band digital simple radio registered station DCR-PR0 series, are its compact design and excellent external protection performance.

Width 125 x height 30 x depth 120mm, weight of main unit 593g (speaker microphone alone 171g), microphone connector is modular and covered with rubber, achieving dustproof and waterproof IP54. In addition, the front panel can be separated, the DC cable is a versatile T-shaped connector that directly supports DC24V, and a sliding mounting bracket is included as standard, making it easy to choose the installation location (dustproof and waterproof are not achieved when separated). The microphone has a built-in speaker, and in addition to the main PTT and UP/DOWN, it is equipped with a sub PTT and two function keys, and the rear of the main unit has a port to connect a waterproof speaker microphone (sold separately).

It also comes with a PA terminal that enables the sound amplified by the unit’s audio amplifier to be connected to commercially available speakers for amplification, making it even more convenient for use by fire brigades and on-board ship personnel.

In terms of functionality, it has all the popular features of the DCR-PRO series, such as the traditional reinforced secret story, voice guidance to inform you of the settings, call recording, noise suppression processing (DSP) to reduce surrounding noise from entering the microphone, etc. The LCD display is in kanji to improve visibility and operability, and of course it also has popular functions for hobby users, such as an S meter that shows the reception strength and a frequency display.

This is the air intercom light compatible version of the DJ-P422B-T released this spring. By connecting the DJ-P422W to a smartphone via Bluetooth, you can make alternating calls without distance restrictions via the app radio by operating the sub PTT in any location with a mobile phone line.

The transceiver is a 47-channel model that supports alternating calls, relay calls, and wireless linked relay calls operated with the main PTT, and can operate for approximately 13 hours when using the app radio with one separately sold nickel-metal hydride battery, or approximately 25 hours without using the app radio.

In terms of functionality, it also features a vibrator for incoming calls, one of the many features of the popular DJ-P422 series. The audio output is over 60mW, the dimensions excluding protrusions are W54 x H92mm x D18.2mm (maximum thickness 29.6 mm), and the antenna length is L164.0mm, M76.2mm. The weight is approximately 106g for L and approximately 98g for M (excluding belt clip and batteries), making it very compact.
