Kyle Seaman, 13, of Monroe, demonstrates his “Raspberry Pi” computer controller system at the Sky Valley Education Science and Art Fair Thursday.
The tiny, modular computer, at left behind the red wires, is about the size of a paperback book. It is built from components and programmed in the Python Programming Language to translate what Kyle types on his regular PC into Morse code dots and dashes on the old-fashioned telegraph key in the foreground.
Seaman built both the Raspberry Pi system and the Morse code key and programmed the two devices to communicate through the Raspberry Pi computer controller.
